8 GeoLinking ad in

All GeoLinking ads on are for individuals and agents who are subscribers and contributors/authors of legal age, and capable of entering into a legal contract and intend to map out a REGION for the community of merchants and service providers. They include the 5 major types of agents – real estate agents, financial & fund agents, insurance agents & estate planners, tourist guides and repair/maintenance specialists.

Specific for USERS of

Any advertisement which is created and published in is copyrighted to the creator of the advertisement. It is like an artist sketching a portrait. Although it is a portrait of a person, the artist remains the owner of the created painting. This is being the case in where an agent or anyone who is unrelated to the advertisement could have created the advertisement with the consent of the proprietary owner, the advertisement remains a creation of the agent/third party and NOT that of the owner of the premises/outlet/business brand.

Featured ad

Featured ads or Classified ads on findWHERE are paid advertisements for members who are paid users. findWHERE reserves the right to decide whether an ad can be a Featured ad. Featured ad gets exposure in every post of the Site. There are 24 Featured ad at one time, and the newest (first in first out basis) Featured ad will replace the oldest Featured ad to occupy the limited 24 slots for Featured ad.

Company ad

Company classified ads on findWHERE are for registered companies. findWHERE reserves the right to decide whether an ad is a Company ad. Get in touch with Site Admin to advertise Company ad which is special inserted advertisement on a project to project basis.

Advertise for for yourself and your merchants

GeoLinking Ads are listed for pure marketing purposes without offering any goods for sale, job vacancies or services are welcomed. You can place your own ads and also place ads on behalf of someone else. findWHERE is particularly designed to help agents to place ads for small and medium businesses to GeoLink together as a community.

Ad title

Your ad title should briefly describe what is being advertised, and should not contain prices, salaries, promotional words, contact details or unnecessary search words. Example of promotional words include “promotion”, “best deal”, “best offer”, and “discount”.

Ad description

Your ad description should describe what is being advertised. It should not be copied from other advertisers (this is illegal under copyright laws). It should also not contain unnecessary search words, offensive remarks, or links to other auction/classifieds/marketplace sites. Unnecessary search words are words that do not directly refer to the item itself, but rather refer to closely related items. For example, ads for Nike shoes should not contain the words “Adidas”, “Reebok”, or “Puma”.

Ad language

Only ads in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin are allowed.

Ad category – 8 GEOLinkages

You should place your ad in the category that best describes what is being advertised. We have 8 categories of Ads – Property, Car, Eateries, Bakeries, Shops & Medical, Biz and Edu, recreation and Tourism. Agents and Locations are universal ‘Operator’ for cataloging the owner of posts and the region it belongs.

No multiple items in 1 ad

You should only advertise 1 unique business/outlet/merchant/location/agent in each ad.

No duplicates

You should not place the same ad more than once. If you wish to advertise the same item again, please delete your previous ad before you insert a new ad of the same item. Posting the same ad using a different name or email is also not allowed. A cross discipline agent however can create more than 1 profile, e.g. Allan is a Real Estate Agent (1 profile) and Mutual Fund Agent (another profile). Amidst, Allan can create a single profile with Real Estate Agent cum Mutual Fund Agent. However, findWHERE is indemnified from any liability due to the professions being not mutually inclusive or prohibited by regulations of the practice.


You can place links that are relevant to your ad in the ad text description, e.g. your personal website. However, you cannot place links to another auction, classifieds, or marketplace site, e.g. link to another listing website.


You should add images that are relevant to your ad. Company logos can be used as images  suitable to identify various categories or product types.

An image is not suitable if it:

  • Was taken by another advertiser, and is being reused without their consent (this is illegal under copyright laws)
  • Contains contact details (phone, email, links, Facebook, or any other personal info)
  • Contains images of children
  • Contains promotional words
  • Contains an advertiser’s own watermark of contact details and price
  • Contains a watermark of a company logo placed in the centre or any of the four corners of the image; or covering more than 30% of the image
  • Is a collage, i.e. includes multiple images edited into the same image
  • Is a stock photo
  • Is downloaded from the website
  • Is not in JPEG or PNG format
  • Is reused from any other ad on
  • Is too small or unclear, or is irrelevant
  • Could be perceived to be offensive or provocative in nature, for example, images of live models for lingerie products

Original items

Pirated goods and forged items, including fake “luxury” bags, “branded” clothes and gears, CD/VCD/DVDs, and computer/game-console software are not allowed. All items advertised must be original; we suggest that you include images of the necessary document(s) in the ad to prove the authenticity of the item.

Realistic offers

You should provide the actual selling price of your item in your ad, except for ads under the “Services” like the repair/maintenance categories. findWHERE reserves the right to refuse unrealistic selling prices which we do not think are the actual full price of your item (strictly no instalments, down-payments or trade-in prices). Campaigns can be included in the body content of your advertisement, with special offers and promotions indicating the time and contact person, if any, for clear unambiguous information.

Bidding and auctions

We do not accept any ads related to auction or bidding. We only accept ads with actual prices.

Rules concerning Professional Services

Legal, Accounting, Professional Consulting Engineering, etc. are professional services governed by their respective laws and regulations. Hence, advertising their outlets would require their consent and permission. Written permission or electronic acknowledgement at the COMMENT Section would be necessary to ensure compliance to their professional by-laws or regulations.

Illegal goods

Ads featuring goods that are prohibited from sale according to Malaysian laws are not allowed on findWHERE. For the list of illegal goods, click here.

Offensive content

Ads or images that could be perceived as offensive to ethnic groups, individuals, or public figures are not allowed.


Ads under “Services” must follow applicable laws and regulations of Malaysia for the given profession, refer “Rules concerning Professional Services” above.
